A shared model of sustainable development in 14 goals
We are concretely committed to achieving, by the year 2030, ESG goals outlined by Feralpi Group, contributing with passion and determination to the growth of an ethical and sustainable business model.
The 14 points identified constitute the ESG Scorecard, which defines the group’s standards of environmental excellence, social commitment, and governance. Through this tool, we monitor, annually, the achievement of established standards and apply innovative strategies and cutting-edge solutions to reduce environmental impact, strengthen community well-being, and guarantee transparent and efficient management, in synergy with Feralpi Group’s values and ambitions.
Through Feralpi Group, our environmental goals were among the first to receive approval from the SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative). A recognition attesting that decarbonization goals along the entire supply chain are scientifically founded and in line with international commitments to contain global warming, in line with the COP 21 agreements. With this standard of excellence, Presider leads the transition towards a low-emission future, for a more sustainable production cycle.
Our non-financial performances are reported in the Integrated Report of Feralpi Group; for the first time, annual reporting also combines financial data with environmental, social, and Governance (ESG) information. This pioneering choice anticipates the obligations of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive – CSRD and new reporting standards (ESRS – European Sustainability Reporting Standards elaborated by EFRAG – European Financial Reporting Advisory Group), strengthening the group’s commitment to responsible growth.

Electricity production
Thanks to photovoltaic systems installed in our Nave and Pomezia plants, we directly produce clean energy, contributing concretely to energy autonomy and emission reduction.
Electricity purchase
At the same time, the purchase of guaranteed and certified GO (Guarantees of Origin) electricity ensures that all corporate electricity consumption is today covered by renewable sources.

Presider distinguishes itself with EPDs among the best in the sector, true "best in class".
A result that stems from a supply chain carefully built on sustainable and transparent bases. The EPD is the tool that allows clients, designers, and stakeholders to evaluate the real environmental impact of a product: a public document, verified by independent third parties, which quantifies, among other parameters, CO2 emissions per ton of product.
The measured environmental impact is among the lowest in the sector, thanks also to steels coming from Feralpi Group, whose carbon footprint is at least 30% lower than the national average.
This translates into excellent EPD values, measurable in kg of CO₂ per ton of product, and a real advantage for those who choose us: building with high environmental performance materials, contributing concretely to the achievement of ESG goals.
A recycled material content among the highest in the sector.
Presider integrates into its products a minimum content of recycled, recovered, and by-product material among the highest in the sector. A choice that is not the result of chance, but of an industrial model built on environmental responsibility and resource circularity.
The steel we use comes largely from ferrous scrap, processed through optimized procedures to reduce emissions, limit processing waste, and enhance every phase of production. It is thus that we can guarantee excellent environmental performance, with recycled content reaching up to 98.8%.*
A value that abundantly satisfies the Minimum Environmental Criteria (CAM), which impose a minimum of 75% recycled content for non-alloy steel products, exceeding them with conviction and continuity.
Presider has achieved the prestigious UNI EN ISO 14001 certification. This recognition attests to our continuous commitment to improving environmental performance and reducing the impact of our activities on the planet. Through the adoption of an Environmental Management System (EMS), we guarantee that every production process is aligned with the highest sustainability principles, maintaining our role as a responsible leader in the global steel industry.
Presider is associated with the French APA. Thanks to this collaboration, we offer our clients the possibility to convert EPDs (Environmental Product Declaration) into FDES (Fiche de Déclaration Environnementale et Sanitaire), recognized in France, to analyze and compare precisely and transparently the environmental impacts of our products. With this step, we continue to guarantee quality and transparency, in line with the most rigorous regulations and our clients’ expectations worldwide.
Presider is present on EcoVadis, one of the main platforms for evaluating corporate sustainability. EcoVadis is committed to improving environmental, social, and governance practices of companies globally, and we are proud to contribute to this network of transparency. Our EcoVadis assessment is a concrete testimony of our commitment to operate ethically and sustainably, creating value not only for our shareholders but for the entire global community, in full consistency with ESG principles.
